Echos

These pieces were created to visually represent each song that will be found on my upcoming album, Clarity. I found myself disconnected from the emotional source and story behind each song while in the middle of the recording process.  I wanted to do something that would help me reconnect deeply with each song. Clarity is all about achieving personal growth by means of vulnerability and the seeking and acceptance of the truth. When the idea to do a pointillism piece for each song on the album struck, I was simultaneously  thrilled and intimidated by such an undertaking. My hope for the album is that it inspires the listener to be bold and vulnerable in the way they express themselves. How could I be one to advocate this message if I couldn’t take my own advice? Expressing these songs on an artistic platform outside of music was the perfect way to accomplish the intentional reconnection I was seeking, while pushing me into a new and vulnerable realm of creative expression. 

In order to decide on how I was going to visually depict each song, I summarized what the song meant to me in one word, then decided on how to represent that idea with an image second. Each piece is titled with it’s corresponding song title, and the word I used to summarize each song is what is found in the description.
